Bali Guide: Events & Villas · Effective October 12, 2026
Bali Guide: Events & Villas is an iOS app operated by PT. KOZA LAB, CLN Building, Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia. This page explains what we collect, why, who receives it, and what you can do about it. Questions? Email marketing@koza-lab.co.
What We Collect
You sign in with your email address and a one-time code we send you. There are no passwords, and no Sign in with Apple or social logins. The app collects:
- Account: your email address and an account ID, used for sign-in, your account and your tickets
- Tickets and venues: your bookings (tickets) and the venues you follow, stored with your account on our servers so they show on every device
- Push notification token: so we can tell you about new events at venues you follow. You can turn notifications off in iOS Settings
- Crash reports and app errors: sent through Google Firebase Crashlytics and linked to your account ID, never to your email. We use them only to fix bugs
- Viewing requests: if you request a viewing of a home, your name, WhatsApp number, preferred day and time, move-in date and message (see Homes and Viewing Requests)
- Ask AI messages: the messages you type to Ask AI (see Ask AI)
Some things stay on your phone. Saved events are kept on your phone. For now, saved homes, compare lists and search alerts are also stored on your phone only.
Location, Camera and Calendar
- Location: used on your phone only, to centre the map when you tap the location button. It is never sent to us
- Camera: used only in door mode, which hosts use to scan ticket QR codes. The images are not stored or sent
- Calendar: the app only adds events that you choose to your calendar (write-only)
You can change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Bali Guide.
Homes and Viewing Requests
The Villas module shows homes to rent or buy, and land, from partner agencies, as Baliestate listings. When you request a viewing, your name, WhatsApp number, preferred day and time, move-in date and message are sent to Baliestate and passed to the agency that listed that home, so it can contact you. When you ask a question on WhatsApp, your enquiry goes to the listing agency.
Ask AI
Ask AI sends the messages you type to Baliestate's assistant so it can answer them. They are sent under a random chat ID that is kept on your phone. It is not linked to your account. An AI service provider processes the messages to generate the answers.
Payments
Tickets are paid on balievents.co through our payment provider Xendit. The Bali Guide app itself does not take card details.
How We Use It
- To sign you in and run your account
- To issue and show your tickets, and to let hosts create events and scan tickets at the door
- To tell you about new events at venues you follow
- To pass your viewing requests to listing agencies and to answer your Ask AI questions
- To find and fix bugs
Events that hosts publish, with their details and images, are public: they appear in the app and on balievents.co.
What We Don't Do
- We don't sell your data
- The app contains no advertising SDKs
- We don't track you across other companies' apps or websites, and the app tells Apple that it does not track
Who We Share With
We share data only with the services and companies that help us run the app:
- Google Cloud: hosting, in the Singapore region
- Google Maps: the map
- Google Firebase Crashlytics: crash reports and app errors
- Apple: push notifications and Apple Wallet passes
- Xendit: payments for tickets on balievents.co
- Listing agencies: viewing requests and WhatsApp enquiries about their homes
- An AI service provider: processes Ask AI messages to generate answers
- An email service: delivers your sign-in codes and ticket emails
- Event organisers: the name and email on a ticket you book, so they can let you in
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users or others.
How Long We Keep It
- Account data: for as long as your account exists. Deleting the account removes it
- Crash reports: Firebase Crashlytics keeps them for 90 days
- Tickets: kept in the organiser's records for as long as accounting and tax rules require
Your Choices and Account Deletion
- Delete your account in the app: open Profile → Delete account. This deletes your account and the data tied to it
- Delete it by email: write to marketing@koza-lab.co from the email address of your account, with the subject "Delete my Bali Guide account". We delete it within 30 days
- Tickets: tickets already sold stay in the organiser's records as required by law, kept without your account
- Notifications: turn them off in iOS Settings
- Location, camera and calendar: change or turn off access in iOS Settings → Bali Guide
- A copy or a correction: email marketing@koza-lab.co from your account's address to get a copy of the data tied to your account, or to correct it
Children
Bali Guide is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email marketing@koza-lab.co.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
