Daily Bites respects your privacy. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. If anything is unclear, email us at marketing@koza-lab.co and we'll answer within 24 hours.
You don't need to create an account with your email or phone number. The app signs you in with an anonymous identifier, and collects:
We don't collect your location, contacts, camera, microphone, or Health data. If you save an idea card as an image, the app only adds it to your photo library; it never reads your photos.
We share data only with services that help us run the app:
We may also share data when required by law or to protect users from harm.
We run ads on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and use the Meta SDK to understand which ads lead to installs and subscriptions. The app sends Meta a small set of events: completing onboarding, choosing a subscription plan, and starting a subscription or free trial (plan and price). We don't send your reading history, saved ideas, topics, or display name to Meta.
On first launch, iOS asks whether Daily Bites may track you. If you tap Allow, your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) is shared with Meta along with these events, so ads can be linked to installs. If you tap Ask App Not to Track, we don't share the advertising identifier, and Meta receives only anonymized, aggregated data.
You can change this anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Meta's own use of this data is described in the Meta Privacy Policy. See also the Google Privacy Policy and the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
You can:
If you're in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA, including the right to object to processing, request portability, and lodge complaints with your local data protection authority. Contact us to exercise any of these rights.
We keep your preferences, saved ideas, and progress until you ask us to delete them. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months and crash reports for 90 days. Subscription records are kept by Apple and RevenueCat under their own policies, and we may keep transaction records longer where the law requires it.
Daily Bites is for users aged 13 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you're a parent and believe your child has used the app, contact us and we'll delete their data.
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, encrypted storage at rest) and access controls to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep yours safe.
Our service providers are based in various countries including the US and EU. When data is transferred internationally, we rely on standard legal safeguards (such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app before they take effect.
