MaxMe is a self-improvement app by Koza Lab that helps you work on grooming, skin and habits. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. Your face scan is analyzed on your phone and is never uploaded. Questions? Email marketing@koza-lab.co.
When you run a face scan, MaxMe uses Apple's Vision framework on your device to find your face in the camera image or in a photo you choose. MaxMe keeps one downscaled photo of the scan, the positions of facial landmarks in that photo (such as the outline of your face, eyes, brows, nose and lips) and measurements calculated from them and from your skin colour (proportions, skin tone, redness and texture). MaxMe does not create a 3D face model or a face print, and does not use your face to identify or authenticate you.
This face data is used only to calculate your scan results, draw guide lines on your own photo and show your progress compared with your earlier scans. It is not used for advertising or tracking, to identify you, or to train any model.
Your scan photo, landmarks and measurements are processed and stored only on your device, in MaxMe's private storage. They are excluded from iCloud and computer backups. They are never uploaded to MaxMe's servers and are not shared with or sold to any third party. Our usage analytics contain no face data. For a completed scan we record only technical information and your overall score rounded to a 10-point range.
Your face data stays on your device until you delete it. You can delete all scans at any time in Settings → Delete My Scans. Logging out or deleting your account also removes all scans, and so does deleting the app. MaxMe keeps at most your 20 most recent scans and deletes older ones automatically.
If you send a message to the optional AI Coach, your message and your latest scan scores (numbers only) are sent to MaxMe's server and processed by OpenAI to write a reply. Your photo, landmarks and measurements are never sent. Coach requests are deleted automatically after 7 days, or immediately when you delete your account.

MaxMe is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has used MaxMe, email marketing@koza-lab.co and we will delete the data.
Data in transit is encrypted, and data on our servers is protected by access rules so only you can read your own records. Scan data on your device uses iOS file protection.
Our service providers may process data outside your country. We rely on their standard contractual protections.
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
